As the sun shone over the stunning Cornish coast this August, Boardmasters opened for another year which saw five days of glorious weather, banging live music and exhilarating surf action across two incredible sites.
Boardmasters’ Watergate Bay site once again sold out, welcoming over 40,000 festival goers across the weekend with Chase & Status, Deadmau5, James Bay, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Kaiser Chiefs, Primal Scream, Blossoms rocking the Main Stage. Elsewhere, the freshest new local talent was showcased at the all-new Net Loft presented by BBC Introducing Cornwall, world-class DJs took to the decks at The Point, comedy came to the Keg & Pasty alongside so much more across our two sites.
Following its biggest year yet, Boardmasters has revealed the dates for 2017 (August 9-13). See you at the beach next year!
Over in Bristol, over 400 professional and amateur athletes from around the globe headed to NASS to compete across four specialities of BMX freestyle, park, vert, dirt and flatland, skateboard park and flatland, inline park and mountain bike dirt.
American alternative hip hop group, Jurassic 5 headlined the main stage joining headliners drum ‘n’ bass champion, Andy C, electronic dance music duo, Knife Party. Live street artists were invited to paint across the festival weekend, completing an awe-inspiring atmosphere. After a bumper year NASS returns next year 7th – 9th July to celebrate action sports, music and street culture.
