Vision Nine Step Up Brand Activations at Boardmasters Festival 2017

With the Boardmasters 2017 scaling up again, the now 50,000 cap festival had its most successful year yet. A sell-out crowd, lapped up five days of incredible sun, surf, live music and action-packed days down on the Cornish Coast.

As well as producing and promoting the festival itself, Vision Nine often get approached by brands each year to deliver their on-site activations. Our client events team immerse themselves in the brand universe and build entertainment platforms on the brands behalf that frequently deliver on a tight set of objectives. The natural understanding of the audience and fabric of the festival is critical in creating an experience that adds value to the brand as well as the fans.

Amongst this year’s activations, a VR experience for Davidoff Cool Water’s perfume Wave took consumers into a barrel in Teahupoo, Tahiti totally immersed in a first person POV ride. The House of Marley rocked all day and night with rum, reggae and a non-stop party atmosphere for the audio brand. For Relentless Energy Drink Vision Nine took the Point Stage up another level with the biggest names in dance music such as Pete Tong and Roger Sanchez, on a glowing behemoth of a stage that kept ravers going until close. Lastly for Canna we grew brand awareness through a giant green midi-ramp that housed all BMX and Skateboarding contests, as well as an immersive garden full of games up at the Watergate Bay site.
